SMC - August 1st

Hey Ladies!
My verse this week is one that I found while praying for a family battling a tragedy. Then I also prayed it for the bereaved later this past week. So I think I need to commit to memory and use it as often as possible!

Psalm 29:11 (NIV)
" The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace".

Peace...do you have it? When life is flipped upside down, do you still have peace? Peace is not necessarily tranquil or quiet. To me peace is knowing that someone else is in control (God), and that all things are worked for the good of those who believe in Jesus. Peace is responding in love regardless of the circumstance. Peace is not letting circumstances define you, but instead rising above them...and shining the light of Christ in the dark. Peace is knowing how the story ends and Praising Jesus until it arrves! Granted...it's also nice when life is quiet and tranquil...hehehe

Let's hear your verses!

In Him,
Kristy

  1. Romans 8: 38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I usually have one pre picked but just couldn't pick one this go round. I want a scriputre that speaks to me and that possibly could speak to someone else. I had the priviledge of sharing my last memory verse not long after I learned it. How awesome and what a wonderful reminder from God of how important this is. God is Good all the time.
