SMC #2

Howdy gals!
Hope you enjoyed the snow...it was my favorite kind...enough to play in but goes away quickly =)
This time my scripture memory verse is...

"Only be careful, and watch yourselves clossely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them." Deu 4:9 (NIV)

It's a long one...but a point in Billie's message yesterday struck me...what am I teaching my children (and others watching) by the way I live my everyday life? Do I live all 7 days of the week consistently seeking Jesus? When God shows me a truth do I forget it or hide it instead of letting it mold me? Every lesson God teaches me I should pass onto someone else.

  1. WOW Kristy!!!! As soon as I started reading this verse it spoke to me. I am sure that I am not the only one that does not live all 7 days as Jesus would like us too. Just like with the verse from 2 weeks ago that I have memorized: Set a guard over my lips O Lord: Keep watch over the doors of my lips. Psalms 141:3. Apparently God is talking to my through other people as far as me copying their verses for the second time.

    This one is a LONG one but it is talking to me so I got to memorize it and DO IT!!!!

  3. Wow, I had a hard time picking. I am asking the spirit to lead me and to let me know what I need to say to myself. There is alot of junk in my head and alot of happenings in my life that subtract from HIM. The topic of Lent from Sunday night is sticking with me and it is time to purge some things from my life. So after wrestling with the choice of 3 scriptures Here it is: "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things." Phillipians 4:8 (NIV) I even had a hard time picking the translation to use but this is the scripture for me. Purge my thoughts Oh LORD and make them yours.
