I wanted to hop on real quick and remind you to go ahead and be praying for our upcoming Discipleship Training courses. Pray for the leaders, the logistics, and each participant to have open ears and hearts. I am real excited this time because one of the courses offered will be Beth Moore's new course...James. It is one of my most favorite books of the Bible!
Information will start this weekend I believe...so get ready to sign up!

Back again
Well, posting twice in a month is probably not going to keep the two of you interested. I know I need to do better. I won't make any promises...but maybe I can get back in touch with the world. The last few months I have become quite the recluse! And that is so not like me!
But you want to know the honest to goodness reason I haven't posted in AGES? I haven't had anything to say. Plain and simple. I know...it's a boring excuse...but it is the truth.
You see since my new job I have been reeling trying to get in the rhythm of life again and it just hasn't happened. I would like to blame someone or something but its just been me. It started because I had slacked off on my Bible Study...still reading the Bible everyday and praying...but had not been "studying"...in fact I had a week of the Fall Discipleship Training class homework left that I said I was "saving for my next Denmark trip". I know that sounds ridiculous, but that is exactly what I did! Over the course of two months I just simply ran out of words. God stopped providing them. And it took a trip to Denmark this week for me to realize what I had been missing the last couple of months. Existing is not enough for me...I want to feel connected to the Holy source of power!
I finished the final week of Jesus the One and Only...and I must say...it was timely in Denmark. But I felt convicted that I waited...I won't try that stunt again ;)
I also read and read and read...it's a 9 hour flight home and very difficult to sleep, then a 6 hour layover and another 2 hour flight home. So I read the entire book "Discerning the Voice of God" by Pricilla Shirer (loved it!) and I am 20 pages shy of finishing "The Circle Maker" by Mark Batterson. Oddly enough, although Batterson is one of my VERY favorites, this book hasn't topped my list. It is good, but not what I was expecting. I guess a different kind of good.
So after 26 hours with one meal and 6 hours of sleep...I must go take a nap! ha
I will be back soon...
In Him,
Kristy

Happy New Year!!!!
Good morning and Happy New Year!
I am weird because I never think of the new year starting on Jan 1. I think of it starting on the first working day of the new year...and for me that is today! Most of you probably start back tomorrow...if so...don't become an accountant ;)
Did you make any resolutions? I didn't. I gave that up years ago. I never kept them and then spent an entire year dwelling on being a failure... So now each year I just strive to have a "better year" in some way.
I am reading the Bible cover to cover again this year. I have an easy reading guide if you want to join in. Email me kgardner1@aol.com and I will send it to you. It is an excel spreadsheet (surprise). It is nice because it goes OT book then NT book then OT book and so on. That way you don't burn out in the OT. I have used it 3 years and I love it! I also read it chronological one year and I highly recommend it...but be warned...Jesus isn't born until like October and that is a LONG year of reading and living by the Law. If you read like me and imagine yourself in it that is!
Have a great day...I got to hit the shower and get my babies up and moving!
